Beautiful white teeth with a strong gum as foundation is desired by all and not only it affect our physical health but also our social statue as we can smile freely. Losing oral health also made us lose our smile too. Without proper care the health of our oral cavity decrease and can lead to various gum disease and teeth problem. So taking care of our oral health is very necessary and here are some basic ways to do so:
1. Do brushing twice a day: Brushing is one of the best ways to clean your teeth. While brushing give appropriate time to every part of your teeth and oral cavity. Brushing becomes more effective when you do that after having a meal. For best result always brush twice a day and change your brush after two or three month. 2. Do flossing once a day: Flossing can take your oral health to a more hygiene way. Sometime food struck between our teeth and even brushing cannot remove them. In that case flossing can help us to get rid of that problem as leaving that food piece can lead to cavities. Use 18 inches of floss wrap it around your middle finger and gently rub your teeth one at a time. Some people can’t use floss so to maintain oral health they can use an inter-dental cleaner. Flossing one at least a day is a good for oral health. 3. Do a visit to the dentist twice a year: Even with the above care you teeth still can effected by various teeth and gum disease, so visiting a dentist every six month general dental care is another way to protect your oral health. In these visits you can give a check up and professional cleaning to your teeth by your dentist. Other then this whenever you face any abnormalities or any problem in your oral cavity visit your dentist immediately and some of those issues are like gum that become red, swallow or tender, if the gum bleed when you do flossing, if the gum separates form the base of the tooth, if permanent tooth become loose, sudden sensitivity to hot or cold or regular bad breath etc. There are some other things too that need your attention to maintain your oral health such as: • Avoid toothpicks that can harm your gum. • Do not smoke or avoid tobacco. • Drink water that has fluoride. • Wear a mouth guard when you play outside. • Limit the consumption of drinks like soda and alcohol.
